What is the the Google +1 Button?

Have you ever wondered what that little +1 button that you see is all about?

Here are a few reasons the Google +1 button is important and can be useful:
  1. It's your personal recommendation
  2. It helps you and your network discover relevant content found on the web
  3. If you think an article, ad, blog, website is important and let others in your network know about it you can become the hero because you've just saved them hours of searching for what they're searching for.

Wednesday

Video Marketing

This is the latest video that went up on my Youtube Channel. The channel includes links to not only videos that I have produced and put on line it also includes playlists to great content, including Jeffrey Gitomer. If you haven't heard of Jeffrey you are in for a real treat. He provides a ton of free marketing information presented in a straight forward manner that you can use.

So why should you have a YouTube channel? Traffic. Exposure. Search Engine Love.

The search engines love video. They love video because humans love video. Optimizing your Youtube Channel, your website and the online directories and including video content whenever possible is a key element to any successful online marketing strategy.

Saturday

Word of Mouth Marketing: Gina Otto

On Thursday evening I was invited to a very special event, by Sarah Peppel a local blogger. We were invited to Seasons 52 to dine at the Chef's Table to meet Gina Otto.

Gina Otto, Author of Cassandra's Angel

Gina is a woman with a dream to change the world and one of the ways she has done this is through a book she wrote titled, Cassandra's Angel. Cassandra's Angel is a children's book, but it's more than that. It is a fable about the stories others tell us about ourselves and stories that we tell ourselves.

Gina Otto reads her book Cassandra's Ange

She is a light in the dark and engaged in pushing back the darkness through her writing, and her productions with a life affirming and inspirational message and truth that we all need to hear.

She also attributes her success to a word of mouth movement that even took her by surprise. The power of one person telling another about something special that they have found is a force that cannot be denied. That is why she invited local bloggers to be with her and share her story.

Cassandra's Angel available at Amazon

"No one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl.
Instead he puts it on a stand, so that those who come in may see the light." Jesus

"It is better to light one small candle than to curse the darkness" Confucious
