| Why Go Mobile? Because Your Customers are Mobile. |
Did you know that last year over 50% of local searches were made from a smartphone*. That's right, not a laptop, A SMARTPHONE! The tipping point for local searches has taken place and were you even aware of it? Have you given any thought to how this is going to impact your business?
So what are you going to do about it?
This means that if customers are searching for you business on their smartphones and they come across your desktop version that they cannot see, let alone determine an address or phone number they are going to run the other way. Sorry to say this but they will. They don't care about your fancy flash website, many can't even see it on their smartphones.
So, it's time to give your customers what they are looking for on a silver platter. A mobile website that is going to catch their eye and give them the information that they are looking for and is fast and easy to use.
The line has been crossed and we are never going back. Time is not going to stand still for you. You may wish for the good old days of placing an ad in the yellow pages, your newspaper and hearing your customers come in the door. You need to get help now before you have reached the tipping point in your business and have to shut the doors because your potential customers and current customers cannot locate you when they search for product or service using their smart phones.
You may be thinking, "Calm down, really?" Yes, really! This is so important to you and your future and if you don't begin thinking about a mobile strategy you are going to lose out in more ways than you can imagine.
Think about it. Who has a smartphone? Smartphone users are people who have money to spend, and local searches lead to people visiting a local place of business and making a purchase.
This is really happening, mobile is the way we are communicating and will communicate until something else comes along.
Mobile is still in its infancy but is maturing rapidly. Steve Jobs** announced the iphone in January 2007, that was only 5 years ago. Who could have imagined, but Steve and his team, how his mobile device was going to change the world.
The time to move to mobile is now. NOW! Not tomorrow.
